HELIUM CASTLE

Angus Borsos is an elegant film director from Vancouver who now resides in Berlin. His unexampled style recalls retro European art cinema yet remains coeval. Borsos' imagery is enfolded by splendid beauty, humor and profound sensibility.

We won't talk too much about this mysterious fella although his talking showcases an old fashioned and fascinating use of the English language.

Keep your eyes on him. Don't move.

GIORGIO POI

Italian-born Giorgio Poi just debuted with his first single "Niente Di Strano" meaning "Nothing Strange". Giorgio is an accomplished songwriter and melody master in the likes of Lucio Battisti and the track takes us back to Battisti's era of the 1970s in Italy. His psych-pop band Cairobi is split between London and Berlin and just released their new single too.

Bomba Dischi is helping Italy come out of its crisis with its head up. Calcutta first. Giorgio now.

Below is the video for "Niente Di Strano" premiered by Repubblica, filmed by Francesco Lettieri and featuring our fave Italian actor, Luca Marinelli. Funny enough Giorgio and Luca live in Berlin too.

Now go follow one more gifted Giorgio and hear him transmit Italian heart and soul like he does. Nothing strange. Nothing easy.

N.10.AS

Montreal people are happier now. Finally a super cool radio is transmitting dope music directly from the offices of indie label Arbutus Records.

"The brainchild of a handful of Concordia University students, who dreamed up the station last year while playing board games, and were inspired by similar initiatives worldwide. Thanks to Montreal's strong and close-knit music scene—and expat community—the programming is second-to-none with participating collectives like ASL Singles ClubBanko Gotiti, and Summer Cool. Guests so far have included HuneePat JordacheProject Pablo, Moses Sumney and more."
